Fifteen Persons Of A Same Family Were Injured Due To A Road Accident
Fifteen persons of a same family were critically injured and hospitalized this morning(15) after the high speed Van they were travelling veering off the road and toppled over 40 meter distance after colliding with a transformer at Bulagala area in Dambulla-Anuradhapura main road.
The injured including eight females ,two children and five males have been admitted to the Dambulla Base Hospital by the residents of the area.
The Van travelling from Welimada to Vavuniya for a family matter had veered off the road due to high speed and toppled over 40 meters away before falling to a paddy field it has been reported.
The injured are residents of Boralanda area in Welimada ot has been revealed.

Three Suspects Arrested Over The Gun Shooting Incident Against Chief Incumbent Of Kirivehera Temple Taken Back To Tangalle
Police Officers attached to the Tangalle Divisional Crimes Investigations Unit have taken back the three suspects arrested in Papiliyana area yesterday(16) over shot and injuring the Chief Incumbent of Kataragama Kirivehera Temple Ven.Kobawaka Dhamminna thero and another Buddhist monk , to Tangalle today (17) .
The three suspects including the former head of Mahasen Devalaya in Kirivehera Asela Bandara are due to be produced before the Tissamaharamaya Magistrate Court .
Police are questioning the suspects over the incident.

Transport Activities In Diyagala Area Of Hatton-Colombo Road Restricted To One Lane
Authoroties have restricted the transport activities in Diyagala area at Colombo-Hatton main road to a one lane due to the further threats of Landslides in the area it has been reported.
As a result of the heavy showers prevailing in Central hills at present soil mounds in Diyagala area are being collapsed according to the sources.Due to the further landslide threats authorities are not been able to remove the collapsed soil mounds in the road and as a result restricted the transport activities to one lane.
Motorists are advised to be in vigilant when using the road.
