Samurdhi Development Bank In Kaduwela Was Robbed

Two persons arrived  in from a Motorcycle had robbed the Samurdhi Development Bank at Ihala Bomiriya ,Kaduwela this evening(08) and fled away from the scene it has been reported.

The robbers have threatened the Bank employees with a sharp object and a firearm  and robbed Rs.120,000 from the Bank it has been revealed.

A Motor Cyclist And Pillion Rider Were Killed Due To A Road Accident

A motorcyclist and a Pillion rider were
killed after the motorcycle they were riding colliding with a Tipper Truck at Kalu Ganga new road in Pallegama area,Elahera this evening(08).

The deceased were identified as 22 and 19 years old youth resided in Mahawela area.

Naula Police investigating in the incident have arrested the Tipper Truck driver over the incident.

State Minister Sujeewa Senasinghe Had Accepted That He Received Rs.3 Million From Perpetual Treasuries Limited

State Minister Sujeewa Senasinghe has
accepted that he receieved cheques  worth Rs.3 million from the Perpetual Treasuries Limited which involved in Central Bank Bond Scam and spent it for his election campaign.

However the Criminal Investigations Department (CID)had yesterday (07)informed the Colombo Fort Magistrate Court that the State Minister Senasinghe had received the money in  three stages from the Perpetual Treasuries after the Electuon and the Minister had cashed the Cheques received through a Sub Inspector attached to the Ministereal Security Division and through his Election and financial co-ordinators.

Ayurveda Corporation To Produce Coconut Oil Within The Corporation

Sri Lanka Ayurveda Drug Manufacturing Corporation has decided to produce the required  amount of Coconot oil   within the Corporation to minimize the annual expenditure spend on Coconut oil according to it's Chairman Lal Samarasinghe.

Ayurveda Corporation is currently spending Rs.30 million annually to purchase Coconot oil he has stated.
