Son Of State Minister Range Bandara Was Arrested And Remanded Over A Road Accident
Yashoda Range Bandara the son of the State Minister Palitha Eange Bandara has been arrested by the Police this morning (08) at the Sri Jayawardanpura Hospital over involved in an accident at Kottapitriya Junction in Arachchikattuwa Police Division under the influence of liquor on last Wednesday (08).
The suspect had driven a Cab vehicle belongs to his father's Ministry and it veering off the road and colliding with a house at Kottapitiay junction .Police have also taken into custody a sword in possession of the suspect.
The suspect was remanded until 12th of June by the Magistrate Court in Nugegoda after producing before the court today.
The Minister Range Bandara's son was injured due to the accident and admitted to the Chilaw Base Hospital for treatment and later transferred to the Jayawardanapura Teaching Hospital for further treatment.

A Stock Of Cloths Had Destroyed Due To A Fire Erupted In A Lorry
A Stock of cloths had destroyed due to a sudden fire erupted in a Lorry which transported them from Kadawatha to Matara between 19.4 to 19.5 Kilo Meter Posts at Millaniya area in the Southern Expressway this afternoon (08).No one was injured due to the incident according to reports.
The fire was doused by the Police Officers attached to the Galanigama Entry Police Check Point in the expressway it has been revealed.
