A 14 Year Old Boy Has Died After A Coconut Tree Had Collapsed On Him
A 14 year old boy has died after a
coconut tree had collapsed on him at Alawala in Nittambuwa yesterday(05).
The critically injured boy had succumbed to his injuries after admitting to Wathupitiwala Base Hospital last night.
The deceased had faced this incident while accompanying his brother home from a scholorship class it has been revealed.

Cabinet Approved A Proposal To Purchase 500 Buses To The SLTB
Cabinet has approved a proposal on
purchasing 500 new buses to the Sri Lanka Transport Board(SLTB-LANGAMA)according to the reports.
SLTB Currently have a shortage of 1257 as only 6000 buses running on the roads at present although the required number of Buses is around 7257 .
Out of the 6000 buses currently running on the roads around 1500 buses are 15 years old and facing technical defaults according to the authorities.

A Chinese Female Was Arrested With A Large Stock Of Sri Lankan Currency Notes At The Airport
Airport Customs Officers have arrested
a 35 year old Chinese Female while attempting to smuggle Rs.1.275 million worth Sri Lankan currency notes illegally to China at the Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport this evening(06).
The suspected female who had described herself as a Group Leader in Sri Lanka was arrested with the stock of Sri Lankan currency notes concealed in her luggage at the departure lounge near a Sri Lanka Airlines plane flying to Beiging ,China it has been reported.
Among the currency notes there were 255 notes of Rs.5000 customs have stated.
