Strong Smell Emalating From The Water Distributed From Biyagama Water Purification Center

A strong smell emalating from the

water distributed by the Biyagama water Purification Center to several areas of Biyagama since few days according to the residents.

Accordingly residents in several ateas including Ja Ela,Dandugama and Batagama received the water with strong smell.

However Authorities have stated that the water in the purification center in Biyagama is being cleaned at present without giving the reasons that  caused the strong smell.

A Student Was Hospitized After Assaulting By The School Principal

A 12 year old student studying in

Egodawalgoda School in Balangoda was injured and hospitalized after the Principal of the school assaulting him last friday (01)it has been reported.

The parents of the  injured student have admitted the student to the  Balangoda Base Hospital by stating that due to the assault the inner ear of the student got damaged.Later the student was transfered to the Ratnapura Hospital.

However the Parents have not complaint on the incident to the Police .Principal of the School accepted that he had hit the student over an incident in the school but denied he had assaulted him brutally.

Three Fishermen Went Missing After Going To The Sea

Three fishermen went to the sea for fishing from Arugambay area last morning (02) have disappeared with their boat according to reports.

After Being complained by the family members of the fishermen  ,Sri Lanka Navy have used  two Dora Boats to search the disappeared Fishermen.
