A 30 Year Old Person Arrested Over Attempting To Molest A British Female Air Passanger

A 30 year old passanger was arrested

by the Airport Police over attempting to molest a British Female passanger at a Flight arrived at the Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport from Doha,Qatar yesterday(02) it has been reported.

The suspect who is a resident of Modara area was arrested on his arrival at the Katunayake Airport and he was remanded until 08th of June after being produced before the Hulftsdorf Magistrate Court.

A Sabaragamuwa University Student Lost His Arm After Colliding With A Tipper Truck While Put His Arm Out Of A Bus Window

A 23 year old University student
attached to the Sabaragamuwa University had lost one of his arms after colliding with a Tipper Truck while he put the arm out of the window of the Bus he was travelling today(03) at Kiriweldeniya Junction in Palmadulla  according to the Palmadulla Police.

The student put his arm out of the window of a Sri Lanka Transport Board bus travelling Colombo to Bibila where he was seated in the back row and as a result lost his right hand  due to colliding with  a Tipper arrived from. the opposite direction it has been revealed.

The Student was rushed to the Ratnapura General Hospital with the severed arm in a Ice bag by the Bus passangers and later he was transfered to Colombo National hospital to perform a arm fixed  surgery it has been reported.

Postal Workers To Launch A Two Day Islandwide Strike From Tonight

Postal Workers will be launched an
Islandwide two day token strike with effect from midnight tonight(03) by demanding solutions for few of their service demands including recruiting problems according to the Postal and Tellecomunications Trade Union Alliance.

However Postal Services and Muslim Religious Affairs Minister Abdul Haleem has stated that steps will be taken to cancel all leave of the Postal workers tbrough the Postmaster General and to function the postal services normally..

The Minister has appealed the Postal Workers not to engage in Strike as the solutions for their demands due to be provided within next  two week period.

A Police Constable Was Killed Due To A Motorcycle-Tipper Collision

A 29 year old Police Constable attached
to the Kalutara North Police Station was killed due to the Motorcycle he was riding colliding with a Tipper Truck near the Sapugoda Temple at Beruwala in Galle-Colombo road this morning (03).

The critically injured Police Constable had succumbed to his injuries after being admitted to the Kalutara-Nagoda Hospital for treatment.The accident occured when the Police Constable who
 was a resident of a Benthara area attempting to overtake the Tipper according to the Police.

Beruwala Police have arrested the Tipper driver regarding the accident.
