Official Website Of The Ministry Of Tourism Hit By A Cyber Attack

The official Website of the  Ministey of Tourism and Christian Affairs had been hit by a Cyber attack ,But the Website back to normalcy within few hours after the incident  it has been reported.

A group known as Tamil Ealam Cyber Force was behind this Cyber attack it has been revealed.

According to the Computer Urgent response Group many Cyber attacks had been launched against Official websites during the last few days.

Two Persons Have Died Due To Lightning

Two persons have died due to strucked
by lightning at Welikanda area in Polonnaruwa last evening(19)it has been reported.

The  deceased had faced the incident while in a paddy field at f-5 Ela area in Welikanda due to heavy showers.

The bodies of the deceased who were residents of magulpokuna area in Welikanda of the ages 17 and 33 years had been sent to the Welikanda Base Hospital for the post mortem

A Motorcyclist Was Killed Due To A Motorcycle- Train Collision

A Motorcyclist was killed  after
colliding with a Tran running from Colombo to Kandy at the  Alawwa train station this morning(19).

The Motorcyclist had collided with the train while attempting to cross the Railway line through a railway crossing without considering the signal lights it has been revealed.

The identity of the deceased  not yet been revealed.

Indian National.Was Arrested With 40 Gold Biscuits At The Katunayake Airport

A 54 year old Indian National was
arrested by the Airport Customs officers this morning(19) while attempting to smuggle 40 Gold Biscuits illegally to Sri Lanka at the Katunayake Airport.

The suspect who had arrived in from Chennai,India had concealed the Gold Biscuits weighing around 4  Kilo Grammes in his wallet and trouser pockets it has been revealed.

The estimated value of the Gold Biscuits taken in to custody in possession of the Indian National is nearly  Rs.30 Million according to Customs.
