Lanka Indian Oil Company Also Increased Fuel Prices-Bus Fares Also Likely To Go Up

Related imageLanka Indian Oil Company (LIOC) too had increased the prices of Diesel and Petrol with effect from midnight last night (10) according to the Company .

Accordingly LIOC had increased a liter of Super Diesel to Rs.119 ,A Liter of Auto Diesel to Rs.111 ,A Liter of Octane-92 Petrol to Rs.137 and A liter of Octane-95 to Rs.151.

Meanwhile the President of the  Private Bus Owners Association Gamunu Wijeratne has stated that coincided with the fuel price increase the Bus fares too will be increased shortly.

Three Wheeler fares have already increased by the Three Wheeler Drivers Association with effect from today(11) by Rs.10 per first kilo meter.

A Couple Who Was Involved In Large Scale Heroin Smuggling After Handing Over All Children To Children Homes Was Arrested

A couple involved in large scale Heroin smuggling after handing over all their children numbering five to Children Homes was arrested by the Anti fraud division officers of the Galle Police today(10) at Rathgama,Galle with 3166 Mili grammes of Heroin in their possession.

Police officers have arrested the male who is 53 years old with 1906 Mili Grammes of Heroin in his possession at road and his wife a 33 year old with 1260 Mili grammes of Heroin in her possession at her house .

Investigations over the incident have been carried out by the Police.

Three Wheeler Fare To Be Increased By Rs.10 Per First Kilo Meter From Tomorrow

The Three Wheeler Drivers Association
has decided to increase the Three wheeler fare by Rs.10 for the first kilo meter with effect from tomorrow(11) due to the  fuel price increase.

Accordingly the Rs.50 Three wheeler fare charge for the first kilo meter will be increased to Rs.60 the Association has stated.

The fuel prices are due to be increased with effect from midnight tonight(10).

Meanwhole there were reports yhat some Fuel stations in the country have charged  the new prices for fuel from the motorists  before the implementation of the price increase.
