A 30 Year Old Father Committed Suicide With His Infant

A 30 year old father had committed suicide by jumping in front of a Express Train running from

Kankasanthurai to Matara with his eight month old infant at Pallekotuwa in Wellawa area last evening(22).

According to the Wellawa Police the deceased father had committed suicide with his infant due to a family dispute he  had with his second wife under the influence of liquor .

The bodies of the deceased had been sent to Kurunagala Teaching Hospital for post postmortems.

Five Persons Injured Due To A Road Accident In Habarana

Five persons were injured ,Two of them critically and hospitalized  after the Motor Car they were traveling in veering off the road and colliding with a tree near 14th post on Habarana-Anuradhapura main road last night(22).

The injured were admitted to the Habarana Hospital for treatment and later transferred to Dambulla Hospital .Two of the critically injured were transferred to Kandy Teaching  Hospital for further treatment according to  Police.

The injured who are residents of Habarana were under the influence of liqour at the time of the incident and the driver of the Car driven the vehicle without considering the Police instructions it has been revealed.
