Two Seargents Were Killed due to Vehicle Collision

Sergeant were killed after colliding the Motorcycles they were travelling ,face to face at meegahawela junction at Bothalegama in Koswatta last
evening(18).
The critically injured two Sergeants had prono unced as dead after admission to Marawila District hospital.

The deceased Army sergeant and Police Sergeant were residents of Koswatte and Meegahakiwula areas it has been revealed.
Gold Prices Increased Due To New Imported Tarrif
The prices of 22 and 24 Carrot Gold in
the local market have been increased by Rs.6000 and Rs.7000 respectively following the imposing of 15 percent tarrif over Imported Gold by the Ministry of Finance it has been reported.
Accordinhly the new increased price of 22 carrot gold is around Rs.57,000 and the price of 24 Carrot Gold is around Rs.62,000.

Manager Of The Rubber Manufacturing Factory Was Arrested Over The Five Deaths Occured In Ammonia Tank
Horana police have today (19)arrested
the Manager of the Rubber Manufacturing Factory in Ballapitiya,Horana where five of the workers have died after falling to the Ammonia Tank of the factory , over not adopting safety measures .
He is due to be produced before the court.
The Rubber Msnufacturing Factory has not adopted safety measures when disposing waste water of Rubber production process according to Police.
A worker attached to the factory had fallen to the Ammonia Tank while atempting to open the waste water pipe and fifteen others had fainted after inhalation of Ammonia while attempting to save the worker who had fallen to the tank it has been revealed.
Five of the workers died as a result of the incident and fifteen others including females have been hospitalized due to inhalation of Ammonia gas.Out of the persons hospitalized the condition of one is critical it has been reported.
