Due to the overflowing of Kala Oya (River)as a result of rising water level in oya,The old Eluwankulama road of Puttalam area  is being submerged since this evening (15)bring to the halt all transport activities of the road.

The road is being submerged due to the heavy showers prevailing in the area during last few days it has been revealed.A bridge built across a road in crossway area had been submerged around two feet of water according to reports.

Due to this situation motorists have been using an alternative routes to travel.
