Three Persons Were Arrested With 17,000 KG Of Waste Tea

Kegalle had arrested three persons while transporting around 17,000 Kilo Grammes of Waste Tea from.three lorries in pretext of transporting export quality Tea at Kegalle this morning(12).
Police have also taken in to custody the three lorries used by the suspects to transport Waste Tea and the stock of Waste Tea arrested have been handed over to the Sri Lanka Tea Board for testing.
The three suspects are due to be produced before the Kegalle Magistrate Court.

Four Temporary Cabinet Ministers Had Appointed
President Maithripala Sirisena has
today (12) appointed four new Cabinet Ministers temporarily to the Ministerial Portfolios held by six Sri Lanka Freedom.Party(SLFP) MP's who had resigned from their portfolios yesterday(11).
Accordingly Fauzar Mustapha has been appointed as the Minister of Sports held by Dayasiri Jayasekare,Dr.Sarath Amunugama was appointed as the Minister of Skill Development /Vocational Training and Scoence,Technology and Research held by Chandoma Weerakkody and Susil Premjayantha .Ranjith Siyambalapitiya was appointed as the Minister of Disaster Management held by Anura Proyadarshana Yapa and Malik Samarawikrama of United National Party has been appointed as the Minister of Labor and Social Empowerment held by SLFP MP's W.D.J Seneviratne and S.B Dissanayake.
These Ministers had sworn in before the President at Presidential Secretariat today and they are temporary appointments according to the Presidents Media Division .
A full cabinet reshuffle will be taken place after Sinhala/Hindu New Year the Division has stated.
Meanwhile a group of Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP)MP's who avoid voting at the no confidence motion presented against Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe had met with President and Prime Minister yeaterday(11) it has been revealed.
During the meeting with president Sirisena the SLFP Group had pledged that they will stay with the National Government further.

Sri Lanka Customs Had Opened The Container Illegally Imported From India Contains Banned Pesticide "Glyphosate"
Sri Lanka Customs have today(12)
which contains 10,800 Kilo Grammes of banned pesticide "Glyphosate" at Orugodawatte Container Yard.
The container was taken under the custody of Customs on 07th of April and the stock of Glyphosate had been imported illegally from India on the pretext of importing 20,000 Kilo Grammes of "Dolamite" according to customs.
Customs officers had launched a search operation to arrest the importer of the container who is a resident of Kekirawa area and in hiding these days.
Opened the Container
