Ministry Of Higher Education To Take Tough Action Against Stricking Non AcDemic Staffers
Ministry of Higher Education and
Highways has today (11)announced that those University non academic staff members who are on probationary,Temporary
and contract basis and engaged in strike action at present will be considered as vacated from tbeir posts if they do not reported to work on or before 17 th of April.
For Those non acadamic staffers who are working in full time basis will be consideted as on no pay leave for the striking period the Ministry has stated.
The non.academic staffers currently engaged in the strike despite the Ministry Of Higher Education had taken steps to solve their demands, the Ministry has stated.

Two Persons Were Injured And Hospitalized Due To A Motor Car-Bus Collision
Two persons have been critically injured and hospitalized after the high
speed Motor Car they were travelling in colliding with a Sri Lanka Transport Board Bus at Shanonwatte area on Hatton-Colombo main road this evening(11).
The injured were admitted to the Watawala Hospital for treatment.
The accident occurred when the Motor car travelling from Colombo to Nuwara Eliya had attempted to overtake a Three Wheeler travelling in front and then the Motor Car had collided with the bus arrived in from the opposite direction according to Hatton police.

Sixteen SLFP Ministers And Deputy Ministers Who Supported No Confidence Motion Against P.M Had Resigned From The Government
All the 16 Cabinet Ministers ,State
Ministers ,Deputy Ministers and Deputy Speaker belongs to the Sri Lanka Freedom Party(SLFP) who had voted in favour of the no confidence motion against Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe ,have been handed over their resignation letters from the government to President Maithripala Sirisena short while ago after the President gave them his approval to resign from national government.
The 16 SLFP Members had resigned from the national government during the Central Committee meeting of the SLFP held few hours ago.
Earlier the controversial SLFP Group including 06 Cabinet Ministers Dayasiri Jayasekare,S.B Dissanayake,Chandima Weerakkody,Susil Premjayantha,Anura Priyadarashana Yapa and W.D.J Seneviratne had requested president to give them permisdion to resign from.the government.
The group has decided to work under the leadership of President firther while seated in opposition according to Deputy Speaker Thilanga Sumathipala.
