Prices Of Several Essential Drugs Including Cancer Drugs Will Be Reduced In This Month-Health Minister Dr.Rajitha Senaratne
Prices of several essential drugs including highly priced Cancer drugs in the market will be reduced within this month according to the Minister Of Health Dr.Rajitha Senaratne.
Addressing the first ever SAARC Regional workshop on Non Conmunicable Diseases inaugurated at Galle Face Hotel yesterday(31) Health Minister has stressed that the price reductions of these essential drugs will be done soon.
Speaking on the issuing of Stents for heart patients in government hospitals the Minister says that due to the issuing of free stents the waiting list of those patients need the Stent implant in Colombo National Hospital has expanded and the number of stent implants performs in the hospital has been increased from 50-60 implants per month to 450-500 implants per month .
