A Person Was Arrested While Attempting To Smuggle Two Gold Sticks Illegally To India
Airport customs Officers have arrested
a 40 year old person who had illegally atempted to smuggle two gold sticks weighing around 122 grammes to India last evening (24) at the Katunayake,Bandaranaike International Airport .
The suspect who is a resident of Diaz place in Pettah(Colombo) had hidden the two gold sticks inside the handle of his luggage according to Customs Officers.
The estimated value of the two Gold Sticks recovered is around Rs.671,500 it has been revealed.

Three Persons Were Injured And Hospitalized Due To A Road Accident
Five persons including a twelve year
old boy have been injured and hospitalized after the Three Wheeler they were travellng in toppled over to a precipice around 50 foot deep at batalgala on Dikoya-Sanchimale main road in Hatton this evening(25).
The injured were admitted to the Dikoya Base Hospital for treatment.
The accident occurred when the Three Wheeler driver lost the control of the wheel of the Three Wheeler running towards Dikoya from Puluyawatte area according to Hatton Police.
