Seven Persons Were Injured Two Of Them Critically And Hospitalized Due To A Road Accident

Seven Persons including small children were injured two of them critically and hospitalized after the Small Lorry they were traveling in veering off the road and toppled over in Kotagala area on Hatton-Nuwara Eliya  main road this morning(19).

The injured were admitted to the Kotagala Government Hospital for treatment and two females in critical condition were later transferred to the Nuwara -Eliya Base Hospital for further treatment.Two children are among the injured according to the reports.

Around 10 persons residing in Tea Estate area at Pathana area  who have been participated a function in Bagawanthalawa had faced this incident while returning to Pathana it has been revealed.

The accident occurred due to an inability of the driver to control the high speed vehicle according to the Dimbula-Pathana Police.

A Person Was Killed And His Wife Was Injured Due To A Gun Shooting Incident

A 42 year old person was killed and his wife was injured and hospitalized due to a gun shooting incident occurred at Armour Street ,Colombo while the couple was traveling in a Motor Car this morning (19).

The critically injured male had  succumbed to his injuries after admission to Colombo National Hospital  and his wife is currently receiving treatment in the same hospital.Both the husband and wife were identified as residents of Dematagoda.

Two unidentified gunmen arrived in from a Motorcycle had shot at the couple and fled away from the scene according to the Police.

The cause of the gun shooting has not yet been revealed and the incident was recorded in the CCTV Camera installed nearby it has been reported.

A Male Nurse Officer Arrested Over Touching A Hand Of A Female Nurse Officer And Made Her Unconscious

Peradeniya Police have arrested a male

Nurse Officer attached to the Peradeniya Teaching Hospital over touching a hand of a female Nurse Officer attached to the same hospital and made her unconcious ,as per a complaint made on the incident.

The suspected Male Nurse Office was charged over Harrasing the female officer since two years and after the female officer had complaint on the situation  to the hospital director .he had transferred both officers to different sections it has been revealed.

The suspect is due to be produced before the Kandy Magistrate Court.
