Government To Lift The Temporary Blockage Of Social Media Sites After Security Services Confirming The Peace Has Been Restored

Government will take a decision whether to lift the temporary blockage of Social Media sites and Apps
including Facebook and Whats App after the security forces have informed the government that the law and order has been restored and spreading of Racist and anti religious propaganda work  completely stopped in the country   according to the Presidents Secretary Austin Fernando .

Still the government has  not yet decided to lift the temporary blockage of Social media sites he has stated.

Government is considering to introduce a Filter system to prevent posting Racist,anti religious  and hatred posts through  Facebook in future president ''s Secretary has stressed

Meanwhile Minister Of Fisheries Mahinda Amaraweera has said that there's a need to control the Facebook as it spreads bad things in the society rather then doing good.

A Person Has Died After Falling Down From A Bus

A 54 year old person has died after
falling down from a footboard of a Bus while on the way to Madu Church at Iginiyagola,Chilaw area early this morning (11).

The critically injured person was admitted to the Chilaw Hospital and later transferred to the Colombo National Hospital ,However on the way he had succumbed to his injuries.

The accident occurred while a group of Pilgrimage including the deceased  on the way to Madu Church.

Chilaw Police have arrested the Bus driver and Bus was also taken in to custody .

Around 230 Persons Have Been Arrested Regarding Communal Violence In Kandy And Ampara

Around 230 persons have been arrested
from seven areas in the island regarding the communal violence in Kandy and Ampara Districts during the period from last Tuesday (06) up to this morning  (11)according to the Police Media Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekare .

Accordingly 161 persons have been arrested in Kandy District and 69 others were arrested in Ampara, Kalmunai, Moratumulle,Mawa thagama,Kuruwita and Badulla.

Meanwhile as the peace has been restored in Kandy District at the moment  all schools in Kandy District which closed last week due to the communal violence scheduled to be re opened tomorrow (12).
