Late Dharanagama Kusaladhamma Thero's Funeral Was Held With Full State Honours

The funeral of the chief incumbent of the Sri Sambodhi Viharaya (Temple)in Colombo -07 Venerable Dharanagama Kusaladhamma Thero was held at Colombo ,Independence Square this evening  (08)with full state honours.

Late Kusaladhamma Thero Has been Passed Away on 03rd of March  at the age of 54 after brief illness. A large crowd attended the funeral procession and the funeral of late Thero who was the founder of Baudhdhaya Channal it has been reported.

A Person Was Killed And Two Others Injured Due To A Gun Shooting

A 29 year old person was killed and two

others have been injured and hospitalized due to a gun shooting incident in Hettiawatte,Kotahana this evening  (08).

The three injured persons have been admitted to the Accident Service of Colombo National Hospital for treatment and one of them had succumbed to his injuries afterwards it has been reported.

Two  unidentidied  gunmen arrived in from a Motorcycle shot at the deceased and the two injured the Police have stated.

The deceased was a resident of Hettiawatte area.Kotahaena Police are investigating over the incident and no one was arrested over the incident up to now.

Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka Had Criticised Over Appointing Ranjith Madduma Bandara As Minister Of Law And Order

Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka has today(08) severely condemned on not a pointing him as the Minister Of Law and Order as earlier planned and appointed Ranjith Madduma Bandara suddenly to the Post.

While attending a function at Hunipitiya Field Marshal Fonseka has said that even Minister Ranjith Madduma Bandara was not aware on his appointment till last moment .

He has also stressed that the necessary action will be taken against the move in future. 

A Person Was Killed And Another Injured After Falling Down From A Stucked Lift In Gampaha Hospital

A 33 year old person was killed and

another person was injured and hospitalized after falling down to  the ground from an Electric Lift which stuck in an upper floor of Gampaha Base Hospital due to a power failure today (08 ).

The two persons had fallen to the ground while attempting to save those stucked inside of the Electric Lift which stucked in an upper floor it has been revealed.

The injured was admitted to the Gampaha Hospital.The deceased who was a resident of Ganemulle had faced this incident while on the way to see his small son warded in the Hospital.
