Gazette Notification On Banning Selling Of Cigarettes Within 100 Meter Area Around Schools To Be Issued On 07th Of April-Revised Earlier Decision Covering 500 Meters

The gazette notification regarding

banning selling of Cigarettes within 100 meter area around schools will be issued on 07th of April which is International Health Day according to Minister Of Health Dr.Rajiha Senaratna.

Earlier Minister has stated the ban of selling Cigarettes around 500 meter area will be implemented and a Cabinet paper too submitted regarding the proposal.However now that distance has been reduced by 400 meters to 100 meters

Meanwhile Health Ministry has decided to increase the age limit of who are eligible to purchase cigarettes to 21  years from 18 years.

A Suspect Who Was Responsible For Rape And Murder Of A Small Boy Has Been Arrested

Police have arrested a suspect who was

charged over rape and murder of  a nine year old boy at Iranawila,Chilaw area this morning (04) while hiding in Mulathivu .Nayaru fisheries village.

Police have recently launched an investigations in search of the suspect who is a Coconut plucker regarding the rape and murder of the boy.

There is no drug in Westetn Medicine to

make someone infertile and only way for doing  that is through a Surgery the Director General Of Health Services Dr.Anil Jasinghe has stated as a response to a debate that is being held  in social media network over there's an attempt to spread infertility among one community by another community.

The debate was created after a consumer found few tablets in a meet curry gravy he ordered to eat with Kottu ratty in a Hotel at Amperage.

After the incident the hotel and some properties attached to it were destroyed by a group of people stating that  there's a conspiracy to spread infertility among Sinhalese community.

Later Armed forces have  intervened and calmed down the situation .

Scrap Iron Yard  in Palaviya,Puttala
m,this morning (04).

The youth was working the Iron Yard  at the time of the explosion . Police believes an object among Scrap Iron at the yard might have exploded.

Puttalam Police are conducting an investigations over the incident.
