Funeral Of Kusaladhamma Thero To Be Held On Thursday With State Honours

The funeral of the chief incumbent of Sri Sambodhi Temple in Colombo-07 and the founder of "Baudhdaya"  channel Venerable Dharanagama Kusaladhamma Thero who had passed away this morning  (03) will be held on this Thursday (08) at Independence Square in Colombo with state honours it has been announced.

Earlier it was announced that the funeral will be held on this Wednesday (07).

Venerable Thero had passed away early this morning after brief illness.

A person was arrested with 403 Kilo
Grammes of Kerala Cannabis in his possession at Koppara Junction in Negambo area by the Sri Lanka Navy and Special Police Task Force Personal during a Joint raid carried out by them today (03).

Thr stock of  Kerala Cannabis was transporting to Colombo from Jaffna from a Van at the time of the arrest it has been revealed.

The estimated value of the stock of Kerala Cannabis taken in to custody is more than  Rs.6 million .

Founder Of "Baudhdaya "Channel Venerable Kusaladhamma Thero Has Passed Away

The chief incumbent of the Sri Sam bodhi Temple in Colombo-07 and the founder of the famous local T.V/Radio channal "Baudhdaya"(Buddhist)venerable Dharanagama Kusaladhamma thero (54)has passed away early this morning (03)following a brief illness.

The thero 's final rites to be performed on this wednesday (07) it has been announced.

Since the breaking of the news on Kusaladhamma thero's demise a large number of people including Buddhist clergy and politicians arriving in Sam Buddha Viharaya it has been reported.
