A 45 year old Mahout was killed due to a attack of an
Elephant who brought to the Navam procession in a Temple at Debarawewa last evening (24).
The critically injured Mahout had succumbed to his injuries after admission to the Debarawewa Hospital.
The attack was taken place while the Mahout who had kept the Elephant for 10 years attempting to take the Elephant for a bath before the procession it has been revealed.
The deceased was a resident of Gaminipura in Katharagama .
