A Motorcyclist Was Killed Due To A Road Accident

A 20 year old Motorcyclist was killed after the

Motorcycle he was riding in veering off the road and colliding with a tree on Madirigiriya-Meegaswewa road.

The critically injured Motorcyclist had succumbed to his injuries after admission to Madirigiriya Hospital according to the Police.

A Person Was Killed And Another Injured Due To A Gun Shooting Incident In Their House

A person (51)was killed and his wife was critically

injured and hospitalized after two unidentified gunmen arrived in from a Motorcycle shot at them at a house in Wimalathissa Road,Thalangama in the wee hours of this morning (18).

The gun shooting taken a place at the house of the victims while they were in sleep and the both injured were admitted to the Colombo National Hospital for treatment where the male had succumbed to his injuries.

The two children of the victims were not at home at the time of the incident and one out of two boarders of the house was there in the house during the shooting according to the Police.

Thalangama Police which investigating on the incident had recovered three empty bullet shells in the place where the shooting taken place.Polife are investigating on to find out whether the shooters targetted the couple or someone else.

Two Persons Were Killed And A Child Went Missing After The Motor Car They Were Travelling In Toppled Over To The Kothmale Reservoir

A male and a female were killed and a child went

missing after the high speed Motor Car they were travelling in veering off the road and toppled over to the upper Kothmale reservoir at Bearville area in lindula this evening (18).

The bodies of the male and female were recovered during the rescue operation carried out and a napkin of a child was also found it has been reported.

The deceased were residents of Nadumgamuwa, ,Gampaha and were travelling from Nuwara Eliya to Chilaw at the time of the accident.A national ID was also recovered during the search operation and Police are currently searching whether there are any other passangers travelled in the Motor Car at the time of the accident.
