Fourth Suspect An Army Captain Involved In A Gang Raping Of A Nurse Was Arrested

The fourth suspect who was responsible for the gang
raping of a female nurse attached to a private hospital in Narahenpita who is an Army Captain attached to the Mannar Army camp was arrested by the Narahenpita Police on wednesday (14).

Three suspects including an Army doctor and an Engineer were arrested and remanded over the Gang rape case until today (16).

The suspect is due to produce before the Hulftsdorf Magistrate Court.

Four Persons Were Injured Due To A Van-Bus Collision

Four persons were injured and hospitalized due to a
 Van- Bus collision occurred in Veppankulam in Vavuniya on Weddnesday evening (14) according to the police.

The injured were admitted to the Vavuniya Hospital
for treatment.The accident occurred when a Van travelling from Mannar to Vavuniya was collided with a Bus travelling from Vavuniya to Mannar it has been reported.

The injured were travelling in the Van and residents of Vavuniya area.

area had been devastated due to a sudden fire erupted in the field it has been reported.

The fire which spread throughout the filed was doused by the fire brigade attached to the Moratuwa Urban Council from around two hours.No casualties have been reported due to the incident.

The owner of the Company which undertook the drenovation work of the old warehouse building
belongs to the two leading Rubber and Tea Export companies which collapsed yesterday (14) was surrendered to the Grandpass Police today (15).

Around 07 persons were killed and one injured and
hospitalized due to the Building  which was located in Dr.Brito Fernandopulle road in Grandpass was collapsed yesterday.

There were 20 persons inside the Building at the time of the incident.
