Three Persons Were Arrested With 100 Kilo Grammes Of Cannabis
The Officers attached to the Anti Narcotic Unit of Mannar Police Division had arrested three persons with nearly 100 Kilo Grammes of Cannabis in their possession at Selawathura area in Savariapuram it has been reported.
The suspects are residents of Selawathura area and they are due to produce before the Mannar Magistrate Court.

Twenty Five Persons Injured And Hospitalized Due To A Bus-Tipper Truck Collision
Twenty Five Passengers were injured two of them critically due to a collision between a Sri Lanka Transport Board Bus and a Tipper Truck at Badagamuwa area on Kurunagala-Dambulle main road today.
The injured including 24 Bus passengers and the Tipper Truck driver were admitted to the Kurunagala Teaching and Polgolla Hospitals for treatment.
Kurunagala Police area conducting an investigation on the incident.

Around Three Persons In Sri Lanka Are Dying Daly Due To The Oral Cancer-Dr.Hemantha Amarasinghe
As a result of addiction to chewing of Betel Leaves and Smoking around three persons are dying in Sri Lanka daily due to the Oral Cancers according to the Oncologist Dr.Hemantha Amarasinghe attached to the National Cancer Control Programme.
Accordingly around 1100 Persons have died annually due to the Oral Cancer in Sri Lanka and around 2500 new Oral Cancer patients are being identified annually and majority of them are males He has stated.
Due to the Smoking and Chewing of Betel Leaves the number of persons infected with the Oral Cancer are on the increase Dr.Amarasinghe has stressed today(08) during a Media Briefing held at Health Promotion Bureau in Colombo this morning.
Carcinogenic agents in Toabacco and Arecanut in alkaline medium (Lyme) cause damage to the normal structure of the oral cavity which leads to Cancer he has said.

A Fire Errupted In A Rubber Factory In Galle Was Doused
A fire erupted in a Rubber Factory at Bogahagoda,Galle this morning(08) was doused by the Fire Brigade in Galle Urban Council with the help of Police and Tri Force personal after struggling two hours it has been reported.
The fire was erupted in a stock of Rubber Sheets stored outside of the building and it has spread ed towards the Factory Building afterwards according to reports.No casualties have been reported due to the incident.
The cause of the fire and the value of the damage occurred due to the fire have not yet been revealed.
