Two Females Were Killed Due To A Three Wheeler-Train Collision

Two females were killed and two males were critically 
injured and hospitalized after the Three Wheeler they were travelling in colliding with a Train travelling from Negambo to Colombo at Eriyagahalinda Railway crossing last night (03).

The four critically injured were admitted to the Negambo Hospital for treatment where the two females had succumbed to their injuries after admission.

The two injured males later transferred to the Colombo National Hospital for further treatment.

Seventieth National Independence Day Celebrations Were Held In An Elaborate Manner

The 70th National Independence Day celebrations of Sri Lanka were  held in Galle Face Green this morning (04)in an elaborate manner under the patronage of Prince Edward and with the Participation of President Maithripala Sirisena,Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe and local and foreign delegates.

The 21 Traditional Gun Salutes ,Colorful possessions and remarkable performance of Sri Lanka Airforce sky divers were salient features of the event.

Four Persons Were Killed Due To A Three Wheeler -Lorry Collision

Four persons including a seven year old boy were
killed after the Three Wheeler they were travelling in colliding with a small Lorry at Thispanepura area on Thambuttegama-Galnawa  main road today (04).

The deceased were residents of Boralugoda area.

Thambuttegama Police are conducting an investigation over the incident.

Weerathunge who is also a suspect of the controversial MIG Aircraft Deal  was arrested today (04)by the authorities at Dubai International Airport while travelling to USA it has been reported.

Colombo Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne had issued an order to the Land Registrars in Colombo and Attanagalla by banning the selling and transfering of the lands belongs to the Udayanga Weerathunge in Colombo and Gampaha due to his involvement in the controversial MIG deal during previous regime.

An international Police arrest warrent was also issued to arrest the former Sri Lankan Ambassador to Russia .
