Few Essential Food Items Including Three Varieties Of Rice To Be Reduced By Sathosa Due To 70th Independence Day Celebrations
Prices of three varieties of Rice and Four other food items to be reduced by the government owned Lanka Sathosa Limited up to 07th of February to mark the 70th Independence Day Celebrations scheduled at 04th of February the Ministry Of Industries and Commerce has announced.Accordingly the price of a Kilo of Bsmathi Rice to be sold for Rs.120,A Kilo of Broken Rice for Rs.59,A Kilo of White Raw Rice for Rs.60,A Kilo of Big Anions for Rs.110,A Kilo Of Dhal for Rs.159,A Kilo of Chilies for Rs.220 and A Kilo of Green Gram for Rs.195 .
A 25 Year Old Youth Was Killed After Colliding With A Train
The deceased was identified as a resident of Anuradhapura District and it is not clear whether he was committed suicide or collided with the Train by accident it has been announced.The body of the deceased is currently at Kalubowila Teaching Hospital for a Post Mortum .
Mount Lavinia Police are conducting an investigations over the incident.
