Colombo High Court Has Freeze Bank Accounts And Assets Of Perpetual Tresuries Limited

Colombo High Court had freeze all the Bank accounts
,assets and properties belonging to Perpetual Tresuries Limited which is the main suspect of the Central Bank bond scam for a further 30 day period it has been announced today (01).

The Colombo High Court has taken this step as per requested by senior officers of the Attorney General's Department.

A Police Constable Was Sentenced A 20 Year Imprisonment Over Accepting A Bribe

 Colombo High Court judge Gihan Kulathunge has
today (01)sentenced a Police Constable in Dematagoda a 20 year imprisonment over accepting Rs.20,000 as a bribe to not taking legal action against a person who is responsible for maintaining mosquito breeding places in his house premises at  Dematagoda.

The Judge has also ordered to recover the Rs.20,000 from the Police Constable which he has taken as a bribe.

Four Persons Were Arrested With 125 Grammes Of Heroin

Dankotuwa Police have today (01)arrested four person
with 125 grammes of Heroin in their possession in Singakkuliya area,Dankotuwa.

The suspects are addicted to drugs and brought the stock of Heroin to the house by Motorcycles it has been revealed.

The estimated value of the stock of Heroin taken into custody in possession of the suspects is around Rs,1.5 million.

The suspects are residents of Dankotuwa and Singakkuliya areas.
