Government Can Easily Recovered The Rs.9.2 Billion which Needs To Pay To The Government From The Perpetual Treasuries-Prime Minister

Limited the main accused of the Central Bank Bond Scam need to pay to the government as a result of the loss of profit incurred by the government due to the Bond scam, can be easily recovered according to the Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe.

By addressing the nation  through the electronic media this evening Prime Minister Wikramasinghe has stated that the Central Bank has  retained Rs.12 billion owned by the Perpetual Treasuries and the loss incurred by the government can be recovered through it.

The United National Party has been  appointed a three member committee to examine the Central Bank Bond Scam report and if any Party member proved as involved in the scam he or she will be punished according to the law he has stressed.

A Sudden Fire Has Been Erupted In Bolgoda Reserve

A sudden fire was erupted in Bolgoda reserve at
Aluthgama,Bandaragama area today (18)and it spreaded towards many acres of the reserve it has been reported.

The fire brigade trucks belonging to the Horana Urban Council have arrived in the scene and involved in dousing the fire according to the reports.

The cause of the fire has not yet been revealed.

Electricity Board Employees Strike Had Been Suspended

The Island Wide continuous strike launched by the
Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) workers since this morning (18)had been suspended by evening after the discussion held between the authorities and CEB trade union leaders at the Prime Minister's Secretariat  .

The strike which was launched against the Police attack over CEB employees during yesterday's protest campaign at CEB Headquarters and several service demands , had been suspended until 07th of February according to the Joint Trade Union Alliance of Ceylon Electricity Board.

If the authorities fails to provide solutions for their demands before 07th of February ,CEB Employees will launch an island wide strike again from 07th the Trade Union Alliance has stated.
