Around 10 Acres Of Land Belonging To The Pinus Reserve Had Destroyed
Around 10 acres of land belonging the pinus cultivation reserve situated in the upper part of
Wimalasurendra Dam in Norton-Bridge had destroyed due to a fire erupted there last night (07) as a result of the dry weather.
The fire which believed to be erupted after a person lit fire in the area was completely doused by the Lakshapana Army camp officers.
Lot of endangered species including Dears and wild boars are there in the Pinus reserve.

Three Persons Were Arrested With Heroin In Matara

divisional Police have arrested three persons with 980 mili grammes of Heroin in their possession at Hulandawa,Matara area this noon (08).
The suspects who are of the ages 24-27 years are due to be produced before the Morawaka Magistrate Court tomorrow (09).

convene the parliament at 10 a.m on this Wednesday to conduct a special parliamentary session to discuss on the Central Bank Bond Commission report as requested by the Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe.
