Two Semi Luxary Buses Were Stoned In Anuradhapura
A Semi Luxury Bus travelling from Jaffna to Colombo
and another Semi Luxury Bus travelling from Colombo to Jaffna were stoned at Pandulagama area in Anuradhapura by a group of unidentified persons this morning (30).
Due to the incident the front windows of both buses were severely damaged,However passangers in both Buses were escaped unharmed according to the Anuradhapura Police.
The Police have launched a search operation to arrest the persons who are responsible for the stoning .

A Security Guard Of The Railways Department Had Comitted Suicide
A 54 year old security officer attached to the Railways
Department had committed suicide by shooting himself with his official firearm at the hostal of Railway Department Headquarters in Maradana today (30).
The deceased was a resident of Embuldeniya area in Nugegoda and the cause of the suicide has not yet been revealed.
A Magistrate inquiry regarding the death is scheduled to be held soon.

Central Bank Bond Scam Report Was Handed Over To The President
The report of the Central Bank Bond scam issue
prepared by the Special Presidential Commission Of Inquiry on Central Bank Bond Scam was handed over to the President Maithripala Sirisena by the chairman of the Commission Supreme Court Judge K.T Chitrasiri this morning (30) at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo.
The report with more than 1000 pages was today handed over to the president as earlier announced and the Secretary of the Commission Sumathipala Udugamsuriya ,Supreme Court Judge P.S Jayawardane and Retired Auditor General V.Kandasamy had graced the occassion.
The Commission appointed by the President Sirisena begun it's work on 27th of January this year and Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe too appeared before the commission and gave evidence regarding the scam.
The period of the Commission is due to be ended tomorrow (31).

Higher Education Minister And Sri Lanka Medical Council On Two Opinions Over SAITM Students

n Kiriella has today (30) made a controversial statment by stating that the Sri Lanka Medical Council has agreed to accept SAITM (Malabe Private Medical Collage) students with five week clinical training as Doctors while addressing the 14th Annual Convocation of a Private Higher Education Institute in Colombo today (30).
However the Sri Lanka Medical Council has denied the ststement of the Minister by saying so far the Council has not made an official agreement regarding accepting SAITM students passed out as doctors
