Two Passangers Were Killed And Fourty Four Were Injured Due To A Road Accident

Two passangers  including a female were killed and

fourty four passangers were injured and hospitalized  after the  private bus they were travelling in from Urubokke to Colombo veering off the road and toppled over in to the Dodangaha Canal at pathulpana area on Ratnapura-Embilipitiya road in the wee hours of this morning (23).

The injured were admitted to the Ratnapura (41)and Kahawatte (03)Hospitals for treatment.

The accident was occurred around 2.10 a.m and there were sixty passangers in the bus at the time of the accident  according to the Police headquarters.

A 16 Year Old Girl Was Killed And Three Others Injured Due To A Cab -Train Collision

Image result for accidentA 16 year old girl was killed and three others including her Mother and two other girls were injured and hospitalized after the Cab they were traveling in colliding with a Train at Negamobo -Kattuwa railway crossing this noon(22).

The injured were admitted to the Negambo Base Hospital and a critically injured girl had been transferred to the Colombo National Hospital for further treatment it has been revealed. The Cab was traveling from Kattuwa to Kochchi kade at the time of the accident.

Two Persons Were Arrested With A Stock Of "Ya Ba" Narcotic Tablets In Possession

Image result for yabaPaliyagoda Police have arrested two persons with a stock of around 7800 narcotic tablets known as "Ya Ba" or crazy medicine in their possession at Kiribathgoda area today(22).

"Ya Ba' which  is a combination of "Methamphetamine " a powerful and addictive stimulant and Caffaine  means crazy medicine in Thailand and the stock was illegally brought to Sri Lanka according to the Police.

The stock of "Ya Ba " taken in to custody in possession of the suspects is worth more than Rs.20.5 million and it was the first time that the drug was found in Sri Lanka  it has been revealed.

The suspects who are residents of Dam Street in Pettah area have sold Rs.3000 per "Ya Ba "tablet according to reports.

"Ya Ba" is produced in Southeast and Eastern part of Asia and the drug is popular in Asian Communities in the United States and increasingly available at raves and techno parties.



Six Female Sex Workers Have Been Arrested In A Brothel House Maintained As A "SPA"

Welikada Police have raided a Brothel House maintained in a pretext of  Ayurveda Massage Center(SPA) in Nawala,Rajagiriya area last night(21) and arrested six female sex workers and their Manager .

The arrested female sex workers are of the ages 23-33 years and residents of  Benthota,Dayagama,
,Monaragala and Thanamalwila areas it has been revealed.The Manager who was arrested at the Center has been identified as a 42 year old resident of Kegalle District.

The suspects are due to be produced before the Hulftsdorf Magistrate Court .
