Health Ministry To Seek The Assistance Of Police Headquarters To Nab Quack Doctors
Health Ministry has decided to seek the assistance of
Police headquarters to nab the large number of western Quack doctors practicing throughout the island.
Around 30,000 Quack doctors are currently involved in private practice throughout the Island according to the Ministry.
Ministry has requested the 15,000 Doctors who are engaging in private practice to register under the Private Medical Regulatory Institution which enable to nab the quacks easily .

Laboratory Tests Are Underway To Confirm Whether The Tusks Taken In To Custody Are Really Dalaputtuwa's
Laboratory Tests are currently underway to confirm
whether those Tusks recently taken in to custody on suspicion as belonging to the Tusker "Galgamuwe Dalaputtuwa" who was shot and killed , are really his Tusks according to the National Zoological Department.
The tests are being carried out as per a court order the Department has stated.
The test report along with the assessment report on the estimated value of the Tusks due to be produced before the court on 26th of December.

Twenty Five Out Of Twenty Nine Sri Lankans Expelled From Australia Released On Bail
Twenty Five out of the Twenty nine Sri Lankans who were expelled to Sri Lanka from Australia after attempting to enter the country Illegally were released on bail by the Minuwangoda Magistrate Today(15).
Accordingly the 25 suspects have been released on personal bails of Rs.100,000 each and a fine of Rs.10,000 each.
However four of the suspects arrested including two children were ordered to remand until 24th of December by the Magistrate.
The 29 suspects were arrested on their arrival in Katunayake ,Bandaranaike International Airport after been expelled from Australia.
