An Attempt Made By Two Persons To Rob A Foreign Money Exchange Center Was Foiled
An attempt made by two persons to steal money of a
Foreign Money Exchange Center in Aluthgama area had foiled this noon (28)due to a shortcoming of their plan according to the Police.
The two suspects equipped with firearms arrived in the Foreign Money Exchange Center this noon by covering their faces from full face helmets and attempted to steal the money by showing firearms.
Somehow their attempt was foiled and finally they shot at a wall of the Center and fled away from the area it has been reported.
The images of robbers appeared in the CCTV screen fixed in the center according to reports.
Police are seeking public support to arrest the robbers.

The Report Of The Inquiry Held Over Using Of School Children To Hold A Saree Fall Of A Bride Handed Over To The Attorney General
The report of an Inquiry conducted by the National
Child Protection Authority over using of around 250 school children to hold a fall of a Kandyan saree which claims as the world's longest saree fall during a wedding reception held in zwas handed over to the Attorney General's Department.
The Child Protection Authority is due to take an action against those who are responsible for the incident as per the instructions of Attorney General.
The Ministry of Education too had requested a report over the incident as the school children were used to hold the saree fall during school hours in the morning of 21st of September.
Central Provincial Governor had conducted a seperate investigation over the incident.

Galle Face road was closed down from Presidential
Secretariat this noon (28)due to a protest march of disabled soldiers held towards the Secretariet .
Due to the closure of the Galle Face road a heavy traffic waa reported from the surrounding roads for hours this noon.Police had requested the Motorists to use an alternative routes to travel due to the situation.

A veteran Sri Lankan Violinist Ruwan Weerasekare has passed away at a Private Hospital in Colombo this morning (28) after prolonged illness.
