A Person Was Remanded Over Attempting To Send A Female Illegally Abroad

Minuwangoda Acting Magistrate has remanded a
person over attempting to send a female residing in levayagoda , Hambanthota area to Kuwait for an employment illegally ,until 05th of December.

The suspect was arrested at the Katunayake , Bandaranaike International Airport as per a statement given by the female whom he attempted to send Kuwait.

The suspect was released on bail by the Negambo Magistrate Court recently over the same offence it has been revealed.

A Heroin Smuggler Was Arrested With A Haul Of Heroin

Police officers attached to the Organized Crimes
Prevention Division had arrested a 40 year old Heroin smuggler with 105 grammes of Heroin in his possession while Transporting the haul of Heroin by a Three Wheeler at Pattiyawela Junction in Kelaniya.

Police Officers had also taken in to custody more than Rs.350,000 in cash in possession of the suspect .

The Organized Crimes Prevention Division is investigating on the incident.

A Nine Hour Watet Cut Due To Be Imposed In Few Areas In Colombo Tomorrow (26)

Due to an essential repair work of pipe lines in
Kottawa area a 9 hour water cut scheduled to be imposed in Kottawa and surrounding areas from 6 p.m tomorrow (26)to 2 a.m on Monday (27) according to the National Water supplies and Drainage Board.

Accordingly the water cut will be imposed in Kottawa,Depanama,Pannipitiya and Rukmale areas.

Due  to a cleaning work in Ambathale water purification plant a 18 hour water cut is currently on Several areas in Colombo including Colombo,  Dehiwa la-Mount Lavinia,Rathmalana,Kaduwela,Mulleriyawa and Kolonnawa urban council areas and Nugegoda , Maharagama and Boralesgamuwa.
