President Sirisena To Leave South Korea For An Official Visit

President Maithripala Sirisena is due to leave South Korea on 28th of November for a three day offcial visit it has been announced.

President Sirisena visits South Korea as per an invitation made by the South Korean President Moon Jae In to mark the 40th anniversary of the bi lateral relationships between Sri Lanka and South Korea.

During the visit President is due to hold bi lateral talks with his South Korean counterpart Monn Jae In and other leaders of the government and due to sign several mutual agreements related to  cultural and economic corporation with Korea.

A Person Was Arrested With Two Kilo Grammes Of Heroin

The officials attached to the Anti Narcotic Division of the Excise Department had last night(21) arrested  a 39 year old person with a around two Kilo Grammes of  Heroin at the Karuppan sea coast in Chilaw.

The haul of Heroin is believed to be imported from India and worth around Rs.20 million according to the Excise Department.

The arrested suspect who is a resident of Chilaw area is due to be produced before the Chilaw Magistrate Court.

Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe who had left Sri Lanka for an official visit to India arrived in New Delhi this noon(22).

Prime Minister Wikramasinghe is due to hold talks with  his Counterpart ,Indian Prime Minister Narendra Singh Modi tomorrow(23) it has been announced.

(21)sentenced a person 18 year rigorous imprisonment over raping a 16 year old girl on 22nd of July 2012.

The accused who is a father of four children has made death threats to the victim it has been revealed.

A Schoo Principal In Samanthurai Area Arrested Over Sexually Assaulting Three School Girls

Samanthurai Police had  arrested a school principal of

a school in Samanthurai-Ampara area over sexually assaulting three 10 year old school girls of the school.

The suspected School Principal had been arrested as per a complaint received by the  National Child Protection Authority by stating that  the Principal had sexually assaulted the three school girls in few occassions at the school few months ago according to the Police.
