A Group Of Employees In Petroleum Corporation Had Made A Complaint To The CID Regarding False Rumors On Petrol Shortage

A group of employees attached to the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation(CEYPETCO) had today(20) made a complaint to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) by requesting to hold an inquiry over those who are spreading false rumors that there's a Petrol Shortage in the country through short messages (SMS).

By stating that there is no shortage of Petrol in the country at present the Petroleum Corporation has introduced the 011 5455130 telephone number to the public to  inform the Corporation  regarding any difficulty when  getting fuel.

Two Laborers Were Injured And Hospitalized After A Wall And A Sand Mount Collapsing On Them

Two Laborers have been critically injured and hospitalized after a wall in front of a house they were constructing along with a sand mount collapsed on them in Aniwatte area at Dodamwela,Kandy this morning(20).

The injured have been admitted to the Kandy Teaching Hospital for treatment and one who was under the rubble for more than 10 minutes before been rescued is in Intensive Care Unit Of the Hospital .

The sand mount situated in upper part of the Concrete slab loosen and collapsed on the two laborers along with the wall it has been revealed.


 

A Motorcyclist Was Killed Due To A Motorcycle-Bus Collision

A 48 year old Motorcyclcist was killed the Motorcycle he was riding colliding with a Bus at Madawachchiya on Vavuniya-Anuradhapura Road it has been reported.

The critically injured Motorcyclist had succumbed to his injuries after admission to Madawachchiya Hospital.

Police Have arrested the Bus driver regarding the incident.

A 11 Year Old School Boy Was Killed Due To Struck By Lightning

A 11year old School Boy was killed due to struck by lightning in Murukkan area at Mannar last evening(20).
 
The deceased School Boy had faced this incident while taking lunch to his father working  in a Paddy Field it has been revealed.He had succumbed to his injuries after been hospitalized.

Three Males Were Killed And A Female Was Injured Due To A Motor Car-Train Collision

Three males have been killed and a female was injured and hospitalized after the Motor Car they were traveling  in colliding with a Train transporting Oil at a Railway crossing in Pattiyagoda,Veyangoda area this morning(20).

One person in the Motor Car was killed on the spot due to the incident and three critically injured persons including two males and a female were admitted to the Wathupitiwala Hospital where the two males had succumbed to their injuries .

Signal Ligts were on when the Motor Car attempting to cross the Railway crossing it has been revealed.
