A Mother And Her Three Children Committed Suicide In Jaffna

A mother ,her two sons and a daughter resided in
Aryalai area in Jaffna had committed suicide by consuming Ice Cream mixed with poision according to Police.

The bodies of the deceased have been recovered inside their home last aftetnoon (27) by the police as per an information provided by the neighbours in the area.

The 28 year old mother had bought a Ice Cream , mixed it with poision and consumed  after given Ice cream to her four year old daughter and two sons aged one and two years it has been revealed.

The father of the Children too committed suicide last month by consuming poision over a financial problem it has been reported.He had committed suicide as a person who had taken a loan from him worth millions of rupees not paid back to him as promised.

An Air Ballon With Eight Local And Foreign Tourists Aboard Made A Sudden Landing In Minneriya

Hot  Air Baloon aired from Kandalama area with eight
local and foreign tourists aboard has made a sudden landing in to a field  at katukeliyawa,Minneriya last morning (27).

Six local tourists and two foreign  tourists aboard of the Air ballon escape unharmed due to the incident.Due to the exhaustion of Gas in the Air Baloon it had been landed  in to a field it has been reported.

Court Case Filed Against Former Minister Basil Rajapakshe Postponed Until Next January

The court case filed against former Economic
Development Minister Basil Rajapakshe and the Director General of Divi Naguma development fund over misusing of Rs.35 million belonging to the fund during the previous regime ,has been postponed until 25th of January next year (2018) by the Colombo High Court.

This case was taken up for hearing at the Colombo High Court today (27).

President Has Decided To Temporarily Suspend The Issuing Of Licences To Transport Cattle

President has decided to temporarily suspend the
issuing of licences to transport cattle in view of preventing the  rising number of illegal Cattle transportations in the country.

The issuing of licences to transporting cattle has been temporarily suspended until a formal programme is prepared on transporting cattle ,the President's Media Unit has stated.

Due to the rising number of Illegal Cattle Transport ation of the country Milk industry as well as Agriculture sector are being  badly affected according  to the Unit.
