A 27 Year Old Youth Was Shot And Killed In Jaffna

A 27 year old youth was shot and killed in Ariyale,

Jaffna by two persons arrived in a Motorcycle this noon (22)it has been reported.

The two persons arrived in a Motorcycle by covering their faces shot at the youth and fled away according to sources.

The critically injured youth had succumbed to his injuries after admission to hospital.The deceased had been identified as a resident of  ariyale in udayapuram.

Two Persons Injured And Hospitalized Due To An Assault In Balapitiya

Two persons were injured and hospitalized after a
group of persons belonging to a powerful under-world leader assaulted them as a result of the residents in  Wathugedare ,Balapitiya opposing a narcotic business operating in the area.

The two injured residents have been admitted to the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital for treatment.

The under-world group assaulting the residents in Wathugedare area since few days and as a result police protection has been provided for the residents of the area it has been reported.

Two Police Constables Arrested Over Accepting A Rs.2000 Bribe

Anuradhapura Police had arrested two Police
Constables attached to the Traffic Police of  Anuradhapura Division over accepting Rs.2000 as a bribe from a Lorry Driver while in duty at Thirappane area.

Accordingly the two Police Constables had arrested while accepting a Rs.2000 as a bribe to not to produce the Lorry driver who is a businessman in Nochchiyagama area and travelling to Dambulle to get vegetables ,before court over lapses in some docuements he has carried it has been revealed.

An Army Soldier Was Killed After Falling Down From A Tractor

A 34 year old Army Soldier was killed after falling
down from a tractor in Mulathivu area last night (21).

The critically injured Army Soldier had succumbed to his injuries after admission to Mancholai Hospital in Mulathivu.

The soldier had been identified as a resident of Ambilipitiya area attached to the 59th division of the Sri Lanka Army.Mulliyaweli Hospital are conducting an investigation on the incident.
