A UPFA Provincial Councillor Has Been Arrested With Three Live Bullets
Western provincial councillor Amal Pushpakumara
silva of United Peoples Freedom Alliance (UPFA) has been arrested by the police with three live bullets in his possession at his home in Rathmalana.
The provincial councillor was arrested as per the information provided by a person arrested yesterday (30) in Ratmalana sea coast area with a locally made firearm.
After searching the house of the provincial councillor police had revovered the three live bullets it has been announced.
Mount Lavinia police are conducting an investigation on the incident.

Airport Customs Have Arrested An Indian National With A Stock Of Gold
Airport customs have arrested a 21 year old Indian
National while attempting to smuggle a stock of Gold weighing 435 grammes out of the country at Katunayake ,Bandaranaike International Airport.
The stock of Gold in possession of the suspect including a Gold chain and 16 pieces of Gold had concealed in his luggage according to the Customs.
The estimated value of the stock of Gold is more than Rs.2 million the Customs have stated.
The suspect had been released after imposing a Rs.30,000 fine.
