An Indian National Arrested While Attempting To Smuggle A Stock Of Foreign Currency Notes At Katunayake Airport

Airport security  officers had arrested an Indian

national while attempting to smuggle a stock of foreign currency notes worth nearly Rs.10 million illegally to India  at Katunayake,Bandaranaike International Airport today (24).

The Indian national who arrived in the Airport this morning to depart New Delhi,India had concealed US Dollars 62,500 secretly inside his luggage it has been revealed.

The suspect was handed over to the Airport Customs for further investigations and the Customs Officers had begun an investigation on the incident .

An extensive damage has been done due to a sudden

fire erupted in a rubber sheet manufactoring factory in Pannala area this evening (24).

Fire brigade had doused the fire and the cause of the fire not yet been revealed.

Welikada Police Have Arrested Two Sex Workers And A Managress Of A Brothel House Maintained As A Massage Center (SPA)

Welikada police have arrested two sex workers and a

managress attached to a Brothel House running on the pretext of a massage center (SPA) in old Kotte road,Welikada,Rajagiriya during a raid carried out there on last friday (22) night.

The arrested females are residents of Galigamuwa,  Agalawatte and Pamunugama areas and of the ages 44,47 and 31 it has been revealed.

The raid was carried out as per a warrent received from a Hulftsdorf Magistrate Court.
