Four Chinese Nationals Were Arrested With Illicit Liquor

Colpetty police have today (17)arrested four nationals with a stock of illicit local liquor and cigarettes at a rented house in Mahawatte,Grandpass area.

Police have taken into custody 100 liters of Goda use to make Illicit liquor,21,000 Illegal cigarette sticks  and  one kilo gramme of Wallapatta in the possession of the four suspects it has been revealed.

Four supected Chinese nationals were arrested by the police as per the information received through another Chinese national who was arrested while transporting an illegal stock of cigarettes by a van in colpetty.

An investigations revealed that these Chinese nationals are in Sri Lanka since 2011 and performed different jobs .



More Than 300 Persons Evacuated From Silverland Estate Due To A Landslide Warning

More than 300 persons belonging to 90 families in
Silverland estate at Galabada, Ratnapura near the Tamil Collage had been evacuated from their houses due to a landslide threat it has been reported.

The familes had been evacuated and moved to safe places as per the landslide warning issued by the National Building Research Organization (NBRO)according to the authorities,

British Medical Council Not Recognized The Malabe Private Medical Collage As It's Not Registered By Sri Lanka Medical Council -Health Minister

British Medical Council has not recognized the Malabe
Private Medical Collage (SAITM)yet as the Sri Lanka Medical Council not yet registered it here according to the Minister of Health Dr.Rajitha Senaratne.

"The arguement on that the British Medical Council has blacklisted the Malabe Private Medical Collage is that simple and doctors who are spreading rumors on this well informed on this although trying mislead the public on the situation.

Sri Lanka Medical Council too not recognize some of the medical facilties and collages in other countries as well if the Medical Councils of those countries not register them locally  Minister has stressed.
