Around 14 Persons Have Been Injured Due To A Bus-Van Collision

Around 14 persons including 03 school children  have
been injured and hospitalized due to a head on collision between two private buses and a van at malsiripura on Dambulla-Kurunagala main road in the wee hours of this morning (09).

The injured including three persons critically have been admitted to the Kurunagala Teaching  Hospital for treatment.

Headon collision occurred between a private bus transporting a group of primary school children from kekirawa to colombo, a private bus travelling Colombo to polonnaruwa and a van travelling Kanthale to colombo according to gokarella police.



Three Persons Have Been Critically Injured Due To A Headon Collision Between Two Three Wheelers

Three persons have been critically injured and
hospitalized after a three wheeler they were travelling in colliding with another three wheeler at Saint clair water -falls in Thalawakale last night (08).

One of the three wheelers involved in the accident had fallen down a precipice more than 150 feet deep it has been reported.

One three wheeler was travelling from Watawala to Thalawakale area and the other three wheeler was travelling from Thalawakale to Hatton .

Police have arrested one Three wheeler driver over accident.

Bribery commission had today (09)questioned former
first lady Shiranthi Rajapakshe for around two hours regarding an allegation leveled against her on the assets of "Siriliya Saviya" organization chaired by her.

Two Pakistani Nationals Arrested Over Staying In Sri Lanka Without Visas

Colpetty police have today (09)arrested two pakistani
nationals staying in the country without valid visas in Colpetty area(Colombo).

The two suspects are due to be produced before the Colombo fort magistrate today (09).

Heavy Showers To Continue From Today In Several Areas

As heavy showers predicted from today (09) to the
Western,Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces as well as for some places in Matara and Galle  by the Meteorology Department ,Authorities have advised the people living around main rivers and low land areas of those provinces and cities to be vigilant on rising water levels of the rivers.

Due to showers prevailing in the water levels of Attanagalu Oya and Kelani River too are on the rise and the sluice gates of Kukule River in kalutara kept open according to the Irrigation Department.
