Landslide Warnings Issued To Three Disricts

Due to the heavy showers prevailing in National Building Research Organization (NBRO)has today (06)further extended the landslide warnings issued to three districts for another 24 hours.

Accordingly landslide warnings issued to Galle,Kalutara and Ratnapura districts have been further extended.

Residents in these areas are advised to be on vigilant over landslide signs.

Meanwhile many districts have experienced heavy showers including Colombo and as a result several roads are inundated .

A Running Motorcycle Was Destroyed Due to A Fire

A running motorcycle was completely destroyed this evening (06)after it caught a sudden  fire in banyon area at Maskeliya.

Police officers attached to the Maskeliya police have doused the fire.

The motorcyclist was escape unharmed  it has been reported.Police believed a technical fault might have caused the fire.

A 40 year o;d motorcyclist was killed after the motorcycle he was driving colliding with a Bus at Minneriya in Polonnaruwa early this morning(06).

Jaffna special police task force personal have arrested

two persons transporting 03 kilo grammes of cannabis by a motorcycle on manippai-Wankan area.

The suspected persons had been identified as residents of kayts and wannagam ateas.
