A Motorcyclist Was Killed Due To A Road Accident
A motorcyclist was killed due to a Motorcycle he was
riding veering off the road and colliding with a security fence in katuwewa area on suriyawewa-Hambanthota main road.
The critically injured motorcyclist had succumbed to his injuries on admission to the Hambanthota hospital.
The deceased had been identified as a 42 year old resident of Saliyapura,Hambanthota area.

Seventeen Army Soldiers Injured Due To A Army Truck-Bus Collision
Seventeen Army soldiers attached to pangoda Army
camp have been injured and hospitalized after the Army truck they were travelling in colliding with a bus transporting garment workers in homagama this morning (05).
The injured one critically were admitted to Homagama hospital for treatment.
Homagama police are investigating on the incident.

Several Roads In Galle Inundated Due To Heavy Showers
Several roads in Galle including Baddegama and
Mapalagama are being inundated due to the over 200 mili meter rain experienced in those areas during last 24 hours it has been reported.
Accordingly beligaha,dangedara and hirimbura areas of Baddegama road,Karapitiya city and surrounding areas of Karapitiya Teaching hospital of Mapalagama road and several areas of Ambalanwatte are being inundated according to the reports.
Due to the flood waters people in those areas are being faced severe difficulties as transport activities in inundated roads are distrupted.
