A Large Stock Of Tea Leaves Destroyed Due To A Fire In A Tea Factory In Hatton
A large stock of stored tea leaves have been destroyed
due to a sudden fire erupted in a Tea factory belonging to a mayfield estate at Kotagala,Hatton early this morning (02).
Half of the stock of tea leaves stored in the factory had destoyed due to the fire according to the police.
The fire was erupted inside of a boiler in the Tea factory which use to drying tea leaves and the cause of the fire not yet been determined.

(UPFA) MP geetha kumarasinghe has been admitted to a Intensive Care Unit (ICU)of a private hospital in Colombo today (02) after burning her hands as a result of exploxion of a Gas cylinder pump of her residence.
MP kumarasinghe has received severe burn injuries to her hands and a leg due to the explosion it has been reported.

Eight Persons Arrested Over Excavating A Treasure In Weeragula
Weeragula police have arrested eight persons over
involved in excavation work at pallethuththiripitiya area in Weeragula in purpose of recovering a treasure.
Police have also taken into custody an equipment used for excavation work in possession of the suspects who are residents of ambagaspitiya,yakkala and gampaha areas.
