A prison officer was killed after a prison bus he was

travelling in toppled over near kudaoya bridge on Anuradhapura-Badulle main road.

The prison bus belonging to the Badulle prison was toppled over while returning  after handing over a prisoner to the Anuradhapura prison it has been reported.

The deceased was killed after had gone under the prison bus.

A Motorcyclist Was Killed Due To A Motor cycle-Cycle Collission

A motorcyclist was killed after the motorcycle he was

travelling in colliding with a cycle on Kandy-Jaffna A-9 main road .The cyclist was also injured and admitted to the puliyankulama Hospital for treatment and later transfered to Vavuniya Hospital for further treatment.

The critically injured 62 year old motorcyclist who was a resident of kanagarayamkulam area had succumbed to his  injuries after admitting to  Puliyankulama hospital.

Kanagarayamkulam police are conducting an investigation on the incident.

A Mother And Daughter Have Been Critically Injured Due To A Mortar Canon Explosion

A mother and a daughter have been critically injured

 and hospitalized due to a mortar canon explosion in muhamalai,Kilinochchi area yesterday (25).

The injured mother and daughter have been admitted to chavakachcheri hospital and transfered to Jaffna Teaching Hospital for further treatment.

The mother and daughter who collected a stock of damaged iron sheets to sell from  an uncleared area at Muhamalai jungle had brought them home and a mortar canon struck inside iron sheets had exploded when they checked it according to sources.

The injured mother and daughter received severe injuries to their legs and hands it has been revealed.
