The imprisoned convener of the Medical Faculty

Action Committee Ryan Jayathilake who was remanded over engaged in a protest campaign inconveniencing public had been further remanded until 07th September by the Colombo Fort magistrate today (25).

 Colpetty police had filed a case against him in Colombo fort Magistrate over conducting a protest campaign inconvenience the public.warrant too issued against him over the incident.

Around 15 Navy Cadet Officers Have Been Injured Due To A Wasp Attack

Around 15 Navy cadet officers have injured and

hospitalized due to a wasp attack in nayabadda,Bandarawela area.

The injured have been admitted to the Diyathalawa Hospital for treatment.

The Wasp attack occurred while the cadet officers had  involved in a training.

Former Chief JMO Ananda Samarasekare Can Be Arrested Over Misplacing Bones Of Rugby Player Thajudeen-Attorney General's Department

The Attorney General's Department has yesterday(24) informed the Colombo Magistrate Court that arresting the former chief Judicial Medical Officer(JMO) in Colombo Dr.Ananda Samarasekare  who had performed the post mortem of the murdered former Rugby Player Wassim Thajudeen is possible .

According to the Deputy Solicitor General Dilum Ratnayake the investigations on the former Rugby player's  murder still goes on and Dr.Samarasekare can be arrested over misplacing some of the bones of former Rugby player.The court was informed on this yesterday(24) when the case on Wasim Thajudenn's murder was taken up for hearing.
