UNP Has Decided To Remove Minister Wijedasa Rajapakshe From The Ministerial Portfolio

The working committee of the governing United
National Party (UNP) has unanimously decided to remove the Minister of Justice and Buddha sasana Wijedasa Rajapakshe from his ministerial portfolio.

According to the release issued by the general secretary of the UNP Kabir Hashim Minister wijedasa rajapakshe not been able to act according to the decision taken by the UNP Working committee but still criticizing the government policies and government ministers.

Earlier UNP has informed President Maithripala Sirisena to remove the Minister Rajapakshe from the government.

Kayts Magistrate Has Further Remanded The Former DIG Lalith Jayasinghe

Kayts magistrate has today (22)ordered to further remand the imprisoned  former Deputy Inspector
General Of Police in charge of North Central province Lalith Jayasinghe (DIG)who had been remanded over helping the main suspect of rape and murder of Jaffna school girl Vidya to escape from custody , until 04th of September.

The former DIG Jayasinghe has been charged over helping the main suspect of rape and murder of Jaffna school  girl vidya,swiss kumar  to escape from remand custody while he was the DIG in charge in North Central province.

Former DIG Jayasinghe had been produced before Kayts Magistrate Court today.

A Female And A Trishaw Driver Arrested With Tramadole Tablets

Special Task Force personal have today (22)arrested a
female and a trishaw drive while transporting four packets containing 370 "Tramadole"tablets in trishaw at chilaw area and handed over them to Chilaw police.

The suspected female has been identified as a resident of Ganemulle area and the Trishaw driver as a resident of south batagama in Kandana area.

Tramadole is a prescribed drug which can be used as a narcotic as well.
