Foreign Minister Ravi Karunanayake Had Appeared Before The Bond Commission

Image result for ravi karunanayakeForeign Minister Ravi Karunanayake had appeared before the Bond Commission which inquiring on Central Bank Bond Scam today(02) to give evidence regarding the allegations leveled against him on the Bond Scam.

It has been revealed during the inquiry that the Foreign Minister Karunanayake had relieved a luxury house on lease from the main suspect of the Bond Scam Arjun Aloysias who is the Director of Perpetual Treasuries while he was the Finance Minister.

Minister Karunanayake had received summons twice to appear before the Commission  last week ,However he had delayed his appearance citing official commitments and informed the Commission through his lawyer that he will appear before the Commission today.After arrived in  the Bond Commission Minister had apologized the Commission for the delay of appearing .

Meanwhile Attorney General's Department has informed the Bond Commission that Arjun Aloysias had attempted to delete the data contained in his mobile phone which handed over to the Commission .

Five University Students Remanded Over Damaging Health Ministry Properties Have Been Further Remanded

Maligakande Magistrate has today(02) ordered to further remand the imprisoned five University Students including the convener of  Inter University Students Federation Lahiru Weerasekare over forcibly entering the Health Ministry premises and damaged it's properties in June ,Until 08th of August.

The suspected students have produced before the Maligakande Magistrate Court today.
