Around 25 Houses And Buildings In Diyathalawa Damaged Due To Strong Winds
Around 25 houses and buildings were heavily
damaged due to the falling down of trees on them as a result of the strong winds experienced in Diyathalawa, Manikkanda and Ranjallawa areas yesterday (27) it has been reported.Official residences of Army personal among those houses got damaged due to the winds authorities have stated.
Heavy showers are being experienced in central hill areas these days and due to tree falls public are being advised to be in vigilant over the situation.
Meanwhile around 150 families have been evacuated from houses in dikarawa in Bandarawela area as there was a drowning risk in the area caused by adverse weather.The evacuated families are residing in youth force premises in bindunuwewa area .

Trees have fallen in other places in central hills due to the showers and winds it has been reported.
